The result is an enormous, concave platform with endless grip, provided by up to 14 pins per side. A symmetric design may seem like a throwback to the early days of thick, clunky pedals, but is actually a deliberate arrangement allowing for ideal foot placement relative to the pedal's spindle. This, along with 2.5 millimeters of concave depth and 11.55 cm² of surface area, create an extremely balanced pedal which excels in all of the gravity oriented disciplines of mountain biking.
